About Me & How I Work

I am an experienced psychotherapist and counsellor with over 20 years in practice and BACP accreditation for more than 15 years. I offer a warm, confidential space where you can speak freely, feel deeply heard, and begin to understand what is really going on beneath the surface.
People often come to me feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck, or weighed down by the past. This can include trauma, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, bereavement, addiction, self-harm, or a sense of disconnection from yourself or others. Together, we work to make sense of these experiences and create real, lasting change.
My approach is relational, which means I focus on what happens in relationships—both past and present—and how these patterns shape how you feel, think, and connect today. Therapy becomes a space where these patterns can be understood and gently shifted, helping you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your life.
Alongside talking therapy, I offer EMDR, a powerful and evidence-based approach that helps the brain process traumatic or overwhelming memories so they no longer feel as intense or present. Many people experience a real sense of relief and freedom through this work.
I also use mindfulness and body-based techniques, informed by my background as a yoga teacher, to help you calm anxiety, regulate emotions, and feel more settled within yourself.
I work with couples experiencing conflict, distance, or breakdown in communication, helping both partners feel heard and supported as they rebuild trust and connection.
Above all, I offer a calm, respectful, and supportive space where you don’t have to face things alone—and where meaningful change can begin.
